Bike Oakland: up all of Fruitvale Ave, wandering in the hills

2020-04-22: 14.8 mile, 1300 ft elevation gain, day 37 of the SF Bay Area coronavirus shelter-in-place order ride where I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted to do, so “why not ride up Fruitvale Ave?” and wandering around after that. 55th Ave, Foothill, High, across to Alameda to cross the Fruitvale Bridge back into Oakland and follow Fruitvale Ave past the Fruitvale BART station and through the Fruitvale neighborhood up, up, up Fruitvale Ave unti it finally ends at Hoover Ave & Wrenn St. Then navigating Wrenn, Arcadia, Melvin, Brentwood, Braemar, Rosecrest, Carter, Oakcrest, and then discovering familiar Liemert at last. Talking Monterey down then Redwood up and Mountain Blvd to check out Leona St and Mountain View Ave and a bit more of Leona St until the end. Head back through some Eastmont and back to 55th Ave.
