Folding Catamaran Boat [Show Us your Dinghy] – Roland

Today on “Show Us Your Dinghy!” we interviewed Roland from S/V Bolairo, inventor of the AquaNaut folding catamaran.

This 11′ boat weighs just 130 pounds, fits four passengers and hauls lots of gear. It also folds up nicely for storage. It takes an electric or gas motor, and can also be rowed. With future additions, it could also be used as a sailing dinghy. It’s worth a watch to see all its features!

If you want to use an electric motor and still have quite a bit of range, this could be the dinghy for you. It’s still under development but look for the latest model to be available around 2020.

Thanks again, Roland, for sharing your dinghy with us and our viewers! For more info, visit AquaNautBoats.com

“Show Us Your Dinghy” is an non-sponsored series. We started these interviews because we were looking for a new dinghy for our own boat. It’s a big decision, and there are lots of possibilities! So we began interviewing our friends about why they chose their particular dinghies. We hope “Show Us Your Dinghy” might help other sailors make decisions about how to choose the right dinghy for them.
