Getting High-Bikepacking Hut Trip Durango to Moab-Part 1

The Durango to Moab hut trip had been on my list of dream adventures for awhile, and I finally made it happen! The 7 day mountain bike route starts outside of Durango, and makes its way through the Colorado high country, down to the beautiful deserts of Moab. Each day is about 30 miles, for a total of about 220 miles. The best part is that you don’t need to weigh down your bike with food and camping gear, the huts are fully stocked with everything you could ever want! There’s even a fireplace for cold nights. In this episode, we ride about 20 miles on the Colorado Trail, starting at Molas Pass, and ending at Bolam Hut. For this adventure, our friends at Gates lent us super sweet REEB Six Fidy bikes equipped with Gates Carbon Drives and Pinion Gear Boxes. So smooth!
