Once installed on the Tern Folding Bike, caliper brakes will obstruct the “regular” fold method of the bike and cause scratches on the frame if you are careless.

In order to fold and engage the magnets, the solution is to rotate/twirl the handlepost 180° counter-clockwise.

I don’t fold my bike often so pardon me for the slow and awkward technique. Also pardon me for the dirty bike. 😛
