Mountain Biking Fountain Head Regional Park | Fairfax County, Virginia

Sound on!

Mountain biking Fountain Head Regional Park in Virginia is an absolute blast! Fountain Head consists of three loops – green, blue, and black. Each loop takes you a bit deeper into the woods and increases in technicality. We did the full loop and covered around 15 miles and 1,500 feet of elevation. If you are into technical chunky riding, this place may not be the fit for you. Fountain Head is hard packed, fast, and flowy with a ton of man made berms and jumps to keep you bouncing around the trail. Don’t be fooled though you have to work for your fast downhill runs here as you bob in and out of the hills. The views are pretty amazing as well as you blast through the woods along the Occaquan Reservoir.
