It is an important question in the mind of all bike riders planning a trip to Ladakh that whether a permit is required for Rohtang Pass or not and how a person should apply for the same. First of all, I would like to inform you that – Yes, a permit is required by all the people for Rohtang Pass. It is also important to remember that Rohtang permit is issued on per vehicle basis and not on per person basis. Permits are issued on all 7 days from the SDM office at Manali.
