West Michigan Mountain Bike Trails: Hammond Hills

Our Wednesday night ride group took a tour out to Hammond Hills last week to check out the new trail. The West Michigan Mountain Bike Association (WMMBA) built this trail last year and opened it up this spring but it is already riding incredible!
As the story goes, due in part to the success of the Barry Roubaix gravel road race that starts and ends in Hastings, MI, the city looked for more ways to bring cyclists into the area on a more regular basis. They offered this park up to the WMMBA who raised the funds to hire professional trail builders to lay down an incredible flow trail. If you’re visiting West Michigan for a trail trip, this is definitely worth putting on the list. At approximately 6 miles, its not an incredibly long trail, but because it offers 2 way traffic, you can ride around in there for quite a while without getting sick of it.

I used my GoPro Hero Session to record this video, which I’ve been enjoying its ease of use and small profile.
